Most times we are so "earthly" focused that we can't see the "forest for the trees". I had very different plans for my life, but God didn't see it my way.
He had something better. God knew what I needed before I even existed. God has a greater purpose for you and your future.
So when the life seems like it's out of control, maybe you're following the wrong plan. Seek wise, godly counsel; seek His face. Trust "His" plan and Be Blessed!

The battle…

Sometimes when the enemy attacks, our human side comes out. We think we can overcome our problems: if we make more money, or if we read a self help book or do this or that.

Love…

Love is an amazing thing. We must first love others before we share the gospel. We must demonstrate God's love to the world. As the saving goes: "actions speak louder than words!"
So love on people, serve people, be kind to others. Jesus took care of other's physical needs first. He loved on them!
See how much of God's love you can feel by sharing love to others. I guarantee you will Be blessed!

Triumph….
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze."

As you go through your daily life, you may feel like your drowning or like the fire will consume you, but God has a different plan! Not only will you survive but you will triumph over what the enemy through a at you!!
God will see you through the waters, like an Olympic swimmer. He will wrap you from the flames like a fire fighters bunker gear. The enemies attacks will not harm you.

Love….

Coming off of a two day Disaster Relief conference, my wife tells me the stories of love she heard. In a time of crisis, and really anytime, people don't need to be preached at or quoted the scripture, they need love.
Love from someone that cares about them. Love from someone that is helping them. Love from someone that is feeding them. When their physical and emotional needs are taking care of by people that just want to love on them, then they will see the gospel, through your love!
So love on someone in need today, or just love on a co-worker or a stranger today. They will see Christ through your actions and your love. Then they and you will Be Blessed!

Humble sacrifice…
"And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!"

Humble sacrifice…that's what our Lord did! He could have called a legion of heavenly host to rescue Him but He choice not to because of His love for you!
Can we just take a moment today and thank Him for that sacrifice? Thank Him that he gave His life for you and your sins.
So take a minute consider His cost, consider that He was also, just a man, who laid down His life for you! Thank Him and Be Blessed!

Worship…

He deserves more than our greatest and most humble worship. More than the 5 minutes you spend in devotion, more than you could ever give.

He is with you…

God spoke these words to Joshua as he was leading the Israelites across the Jordan river. Joshua was afraid and felt un-worthy.
Have you ever felt that way? Like you weren't good enough to accomplish what God has called you to do? The key is to remember that we are not doing these things alone; God is with us!
He goes before us, stands beside us and is our rear guard. You are never alone! So whatever your calling, know He is with you and Be Blessed!

Love…
"If I…but do not have love, I gain nothing."
1 Corinthians 3:13 NIV
People have all sorts of motivations for what they do. It may be greed, jealousy, pride, legalism but Jesus tells us what is the most important reason. In whatever we do, do it in love!
Our motivations drive us and sometimes consume us, but do we have the correct reasons why we are doing ….. anything? I submit that whatever it is you can do it with love!
So make breakfast for your family out of love. Go to work with a loving heart for your coworkers. Serve others to share God's love. And Be Blessed knowing that God loves you!

Child of God…
"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—"
John 1:12 NIV
If you have ever written a will or done any estate planning, you have to decide what will be left to your heirs or your children. Your children will be blessed with what you have left them.
When we accept Jesus and become a child of God; we have that same right to His blessings. We will inherit the Kingdom of God and live in eternity. Such a wonderful thought to know what our Heavenly Father has set aside to bless us with.
Thank your Father for the privilege to be called His child. Look to your future in eternity and Be Blessed.

What is the best way to destroy an enemy? Make them your allies or friend!
As tough as it is, we must pray for those that oppose us. If it is political, religious or whatever way they oppose you, pray for them. Love on them, remember Jesus died for them too.
We may not agree with them but God called us to live them like Jesus would. You might be surprised what a difference it will make in both of your lives. And you will Be Blessed and maybe gain a new friend!

Pleasing…

Have you ever had a good dog? All they want to do is please their master! That should be our goal too. We should want to please the Lord, in everything we do!
At the grocery store, at work, at home, at a ballgame…wherever; we should please the Lord! So is what you're doing, pleasing to the Lord?
Stop and think before you do today. Would this make my Heavenly Father proud? If so then you will Be Blessed!

Grace…

God's grace and mercy are two of the most precious gifts He has given us. Grace is Him giving us what we don't deserve.
We could never live a life deserving of His sacrifice. He gives us the gift of salvation freely, there is nothing we could do to earn this gift!
So as you walk out your faith today. Thank Him for His grace! Tell Him how much you appreciate His sacrifice and Be Blessed!

God doesn't give bad advice! The knowledge you gain from His counsel is greater than any earthly gain.
So ask His advice, listen to His counsel. Value His words more than anything on earth. Then you will Be Blessed!

The sinner…

As Jesus spoke to the prostitute, He asked where her condemners were? He had told them; if they were without sin, to cast the first stone.
Remember, before we judge others, take a look in the mirror. Your sin is not greater or less than others. God's grace extends to all, the white lie or the prostitute.
So, no matter the sin, or the sinner; extend a little grace and mercy just like God did you. Better yet, invite them to join you at church and Be Blessed!

For His glory…

How many times do we do a task or daily activity out of habit or because it's in the "to do" list? Are you doing it begrudgingly, because you have too?
Maybe, change your attitude? Whatever you do, do it for His glory? Go to work, for His glory. Be light in a dark workplace. Buy groceries, for His glory. Share a smaller the gospel in the check out line. Coach little league, for His glory by setting a Godly example to kids who may not have a good home life.
Whatever you do, do it for Him! Your day will be better, yourself and others will Be Blessed!

Tired…
"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."

Have you ever been tired after work? Just, dog tired, worn out. I have, but I have also spent 12 hrs in the hot sun, on asphalt serving others. Its a different kind tired, but you lay you head down and feel fulfilled. God restores you in a different way.
Serving others is good for the soul. Sometimes it's hard work but it makes a difference in their lives and yours. There is nothing more refreshing.
Jesus came to serve us! He came to die for us, how about we give back a little and then we will Be Blessed!

The command to ask is an important part of God's command. It shows our reliance on God for our needs. We must "ask" Him for help. We must trust in Him as our provided.
It doesn't say "do something for me" or "pay a fee" or "jump through xyz hoops". All God says is to ask, and it will given to you.
So what are you holding back asking for today? What are you trying to fulfill yourself when all you need to do is ask? Just ask and you will Be Blessed!
