"Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water."
Exodus 23:25a NIV
As the Israelites wondered the desert, their biggest need was food and water. As long as they only worshiped the Lord their God, He would provide for them.
God was their provider, He is also yours, but we must submit to Him and His will. When we do that, He will provide for all our needs.
Worship Him today, take 5 minutes and truly worship Him. He will take care of your needs and you will Be Blessed!
At the Kitchen Table... is a simple blog about life, through its ups and downs and recently my journey to become closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as I study His word 'at the kitchen table.' Hope you enjoy my thoughts.

Water…
"See, a king will reign in righteousness …like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land."
Isaiah 32:1-2 NIV
Have you ever been thirsty? Truly thirsty? The rule of 3s, in emergency care, tells us it takes 3 days to die, without water. That kind of thirsty! And what a relief is a cool glass of water when you get to that point.
That same feeling of relief comes when you turn all your worries over to Christ! He refreshes and renews you. He gives you what you need to survive.
Are you thirsting for something? Are you seeking a fulfillment that can't be quenched by worldly things? Allow the King to bring you the water you so deeply need and Be Blessed!

Your why…
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,"
1 Peter 3:15 NIV
You don't have to be a bible scholar or have a doctrine of divinity to be able to share and defend your faith. But it's nice to have some answers if and when someone questions you on your faith.
So what is your reason, what is your why? Why are you a follower of Christ? What has a man from over 2,000 years ago, done for you?
As for me, there have been miracles in my life, that could not be explained any other way but by the touch of my Saviors hand! Find your why and share it then you will Be Blessed!

Grace…
"But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it."
Ephesians 4:7 NIV
Do you show grace to those around you? Maybe a coworker needs a little more time on a project. Or a student needs a little extra help. Maybe your spouse needs some grace when the relationship is strained?
Grace is such a powerful, wonderful thing. God gives us what we don't deserve and could never earn. He gave us forgiveness from the cross, and not matter what we do, we could never deserve that sacrifice.
Maybe someone in your life needs a little grace today? Show some grace and compassion just like Christ did for you. Then you and they will Be Blessed!

Two are better…
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:"
Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIV
Do you have a prayer partner or an accountability partner? Maybe you have a close friend that is your "ride or die!" When God fearing, like minded people gather together, it's amazing what they can accomplish!
So grab a Christian friend or two or three; covered yourselves in prayer and get to work in God's kingdom! See how God can use you and make a difference in peoples lives.
Life is better together! Come along side your Christian brothers and sisters and Be Blessed!

Your needs…
""Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.""
Matthew 17:27b NIV
Simon Peter needed to pay the temple tax. If you read the story, Jesus knew that before Peter even spoke. Then He gave Peter a directive, "go fishing". Jesus provides the fish and also the coin, in the fishes mouth.
God knows what you need before you even speak it. Follow His directions for your life and He will provide all your needs. But only if you do what He says.
Listen to God's voice. He will lead you and guide you and provide all your needs. Then you will Be Blessed!

The why…
"And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?""
Esther 4:14b NIV
God, why am I going through this? Why does my child have cancer? Why did I lose my job? Why did …?
We all have questions when we go through hardship. But God sees what is in the other side. He sees the testimony that He is building within you. Trust His plan because He knows the why.
Once you have come through, with His help, you too will understand. Then you will Be blessed and bless others!

A friend…
"One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Proverbs 18:24 NIV
Have you ever had a "friend" let you down? Even betray you? I'm sure we all have. But there is one friend who will never turn their back on you, Jesus Christ!
The question is: are you friends with Him? Or is He just someone who seems out of reach, sitting in His throne? Well Jesus wants to be "closer than a brother" to you. He wants to walk with you and talk with you daily. He wants to be your Best Friend!
So get close to Him, hang out with Him, share your thoughts and fears with Him. Once He becomes a friend, you will Be Blessed!

Help…
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."
Psalms 121:1-2 NIV
Where do you ask for help? A friend, a neighbor, maybe your spouse or co-worker? Maybe you just rely on yourself?
But there is a better source for help, your Heavenly Father. He can provide all your needs and bless you beyond understanding! All you have to do is ask and seek His face.
So stop trying to get that help and strength from worldly sources. Seek the God that created the world, look to the mountain tops where He resides and Be Blessed!

Greatest achievement…
"However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.""
Luke 10:20 NIV
What is your greatest accomplishment? Your career, your finances? Were you a start athlete in high school or college? President of your company? Do you "rejoice"'in these things?
Or is your name written in the Lambs Book of Life? Is your family's name in there? Your spouse's name, your son's or daughter's? Your friend's names, your coworker's? Were you a part of that process?
Have you shared the eternal good news? Have you led someone to what will be their greatest accomplishment…Jesus Christ! Change your focus to the eternal and Be Blessed!

A choice…
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
Matthew 16:24 NIV
You can have Jesus in your life but still be in control. Asking Jesus to be your Savior is a one time decision, but allowing Him to guide your daily life is a continuous choice.
When we chose to allow Jesus to be in control, and deny ourselves, then we have truly surrendered. Our lives will be so much more fulfilled, and happy when our complete trust is in Him.
Following Christ is a choice, a choice that will affect every aspect of your life, if you allow it. Then you will Be Blessed!

The light…
"I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."
John 12:46 NIV
Darkness and a light cannot exist together. The light drives away the darkness. A single candle in a pitch black room can make all the difference.
Jesus is the light, and we are a reflection of Him. He came to drive the darkness from our lives and allow us to see what He has in store for us.
So open your eyes, see the light that is your Heavenly Father. Darkness runs when the light enters, so you can Be Blessed!

Examples…
"I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
John 13:15 NIV
We all follow examples. Our children follow our examples, good or bad. Employees follow their bosses example. We tend to follow those we love and respect.
Christ was an example for us all. He was a servant! He came to serve us, not only in the way He let his life, how He taught but also with His ultimate sacrifice!
Jesus didn't prance around on a high horse, He got down and washed the disciple feet.
Whose example are you following? Lead and serve others in Jesus name and you will Be Blessed!

Love…
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV
Sometimes, I can be hard to love. I say or do the wrong things. Maybe I'm not listening or just being a jerk, but my wife still loves me. Her love for me is unconditional, through the good and the bad.
How much more does your Heavenly Father love you! Through all your sin and shame, when you turn your back on Him or you're not listening to what He is saying to you. Or refusing to go and not trusting where He is leading you! His love for you never waivers!
He loves you so much, He sent His son to rescue you. So today, show some love to Him, bask in His glory and and Be Blessed!

Peace and joy…
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Romans 15:13 NIV
Do you have joy and peace in your life? It comes with a caveat…you must trust in your Heavenly Father. God cannot give you the peace, you seek, unless you put your trust in Him.
We can continue to try and do things ourselves. We can continue to rely on others. But until we turn it over to God, whatever it is, we will never truly have peace and joy in our lives.
So whatever you're worried about today. Whatever you keep dealing with in your own. Give it to God, trust Him, receive His peace and joy and Be Blessed!

Offense…
"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
Psalms 119:11 NIV
Do you have God's word hidden in your heart? Do you know it well enough to recall it when you're facing trials throughout your day?
The enemy runs in fear when we speak God's word! His word should not be a last resort, it should be our first offense!
So hide his word in your heart. Recall it during your day. Let it be your offense and you won't need a defense! Be Blessed!

God’s purpose…
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
So if you're wondering what you purpose in life is, or your seeking God's plan; remember, He knew thousands of years ago what He had in store for you.
God has good things for you. He knew you before you even existed. He had plans for you since the beginning of time.
So seek God's face. Find the purpose He has for you, live the life He planned for you and Be Blessed!

Fear…
"The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalms 27:1 NIV
When fear, anxiety and depression overwhelm you, hold this verse in your heart. The enemy will bombard you with these feelings to make you feel inferior and not worthy of God's love.
Your Heavenly Father is there to guard and protect your heart and mind. We must hold His word in our hearts and call on them when the enemy attacks.
How much better would your life be if we gave all that fear to God? So trust in God's protection and Be Blessed!

Legacy…
"A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."
Proverbs 22:1 NIV
What will be your legacy? Will you be known for great wealth? Being a great entrepreneur or business man? Or a mean, grumpy wretched man who no one wants to be around?
Or will you be known as a man of integrity? One who loved God and served Him, loved his family and helped others? A man of his word who others looked up too?
Your legacy will be eternal, one way or the other. You will be remembered for who you are and how you treat others. How do want to be remembered?
Be Blessed!

Love of God…
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39 NIV
No matter what you have done, or how broken, you feel you are. No matter what lies the enemy is feeding you…God loves you!
We often think we are not worthy, but that's far from the truth! If you had been the only person ever placed on this earth, Jesus would have still came and died for you! That's how much He loves you!
So step out into the world today, knowing that you are loved! And Be Blessed!

You are loved…
"neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:39 NIV
Have you ever felt like God couldn't love you? Maybe because of your past? Your sins or things you're doing? Maybe you push the boundaries?
No matter where you are in your Christian walk, God's love for you never changes! Even if you haven't accepted Him as your Savior yet, He loves you just as much and is waiting on you to come home.
So rest assured, you are worthy, you are loved! Know you Heavenly Father is crazy over you and Be Blessed!

Discipline…
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
Hebrews 12:11 NIV
Throughout our busy day, we make time for lots of things: work, meals, fitness, TV, social media. But do we have the discipline to make time for what matters? Devotion, prayer, Bible study, quality time with our spouse and family.
Discipline seems hard at the time. But they make an impact. They change your relationship with God, with family, with our quality of life.
So get up a little earlier, spend some time in the word. Shut off the TV, talk to your spouse, put down your phone and spend some time with your kids. The discipline is worth it and you will Be Blessed!

Created by God…
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
God created you, uniquely for a specific purpose. He gave you gifts and talents to use for the up building of His kingdom. Each and every one of you, individually.
So don't believe the lies of the enemy that you're not worth anything or that you have no purpose. God tells us different. He designed you for a reason, in Christ image.
So take your talents and gifts, apply them to God's kingdom. Live the life He designed for you and Be Blessed!

Sacrifice…
"Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.""
Genesis 22:2 NIV
Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son to follow God's command. And because of His obedience, God blessed him and his son beyond belief.
What are you willing to give up to follow God's will? Your finances, your possessions, your family? Or do you hold on to those things to closely? What are you missing out on because you're unwilling to give it all to God?
Obedience to God is the key to a life of completeness and joy. What do you need to sacrifice so you can Be Blessed?

His will…
""Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.""
Mark 14:36 NIV
We often read this verse at Easter, but what can it teach us everyday? Jesus asked His Heavenly Father to change the path before Him but He also submitted to God's will. And because of His submission He saved us and the world from eternal death.
So what about when we asked God to change something and don't submit to His will? What is it that God has in store that we can't see? Maybe God has great plans for you and your life, if you only submit to Him.
It's OK to ask and question God but ultimately you must trust Him and do His will. If you do then you will Be Blessed!

Humble…
"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."
James 4:10 NIV
Humble…to be modest or have low estimate of one's own importance. In today's "me" world, a humble person is hard to find. We want all the credit for ourselves, "look what I did" mentality.
But as a Christian when we take credit for ourselves, God can't bless us because we have already taken the credit. But when we serve humbly and give God the credit, He blesses us.
So put away your pride, serve Him with humble attitude and Be Blessed!

Anxieties…
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
1 Peter 5:7 NIV
As I start a new career today, the anxiety rises. I don't do well with change, so the enemy sees the crack in my armor. What if I'm not good enough? What if I fail?
But I can cast those anxieties upon Him. He lifts my spirits and tells me I have been chosen, by Him. The enemy flees as I call out His name.
What are you worried about today? Have you given it to God? Let Him know your anxieties and fears. Give them to Him then you will Be Blessed!

Please God…
"Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ."
Galatians 1:10 NIV
Who are you trying to please? Your boss, your spouse, your coworkers, your friends, family? Are you seeking their approval in everything you do?
If we continually seek approval of others, we will always come up short. Someone will always disappoint you and say you did something wrong or you should have done this or that. Only one opinion matters, God's!
In everything you do, do it seeking His approval, no one else's. Serve Christ with all your mind, heart and body. Then you will Be Blessed!
