A banquet…

"But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.""
‭‭Luke‬ ‭14:13-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This was Jesus telling us to serve those less fortunate than ourselves. They will not be able to repay you but God sees what you are doing. Your reward will come in heaven.

Who will you chose to serve this week? Who can you show kindness too? Who can you feed, clothe or provide a warm bed to this week?

By doing so, Jesus said "you will Be Blessed!"

White as snow…

""Come now, let us settle the matter," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Did you ever think that you had done something so wrong or bad that God couldn't love you anymore? Or that you couldn't be forgiven?

The prophet, Isaiah, was giving us God's own words. He will wash away your sins and make you white as snow. There is nothing that you can't be forgiven of through the blood of Christ.

So stop beating yourself up, forgive yourself, God has and Be Blessed!

The eternal…

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We tend to focus what is going on in our world today. And we forget about the eternal. Today's society is all about the here and now.

But let's focus on the greater things, things that will make a difference in eternity. Sharing God's love with others, serving well, leading them to Christ.

Those are most important and will make the eternal impact and you will Be Blessed!

Integrity…

"The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity."
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:1-3‬ ‭ 

Proverbs says that those who desire to live honestly, who want their lives to display faithfulness and authenticity, make choices based on what's true rather than what's expedient.

 "The integrity of the upright guides them" (11:3). This commitment to integrity isn't only the right way to live, but it also offers a better life. The proverb continues: "But the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity" (v. 3). In the long run, dishonesty never pays.

If we abandon our integrity, short term "wins" actually yield defeat. But when fidelity and truthfulness shape us in God's power, we slowly become people of deep character who lead genuinely good lives.

His ultimate will…

"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.""

We all worry about what God's will us in our lives. Are we doing the right thing? But His ultimate will is for everyone to believe in Him and share eternal life with Him.

But, your already a believer, so you have checked that box, right? Well yes, but now your job is to spread the gospel and share it with others. We must be the hands and feet to spread the word of God.

Weather it is preaching, teaching, sharing your story or just loving and serving others; do the job that God made you for, spread His word and Be Blessed!

His image…

When God created us, He didn't come up with some random design. He made us in His image. Not matter if you are short or tall, thin or thick, black or white; we were all made like Him.

So why do we fight with each other for being "different"? We are not different, we were all designed by a creator who loves us and made us like Him.

Sharing the gospel…

"So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about Jesus."
‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭8:35‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When you have a chance to share the gospel, what is your go to verse? Philip simply shared the good news of Jesus.

We don't have to be holy and theological when sharing the gospel. We just have to share. Start with what God has touched your heart with and share what Jesus has done for you.

John 3:16 is a perfect example of the good news, God loved us and Jesus died for us.

Sharing what Christ has done for me, helps me to Be Blessed.

Something beautiful…

"But when it dies, God gives it a new form, a body to fulfill his purpose, and he sees to it that each seed gets a new body of its own and becomes the plant he designed it to be."
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:38‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Our earthly bodies are not what we are meant to be. Just like a seed being planted, we eventually grow into something beautiful.

Scars, sickness and disease will all go away when we leave this earth. A new beautiful creation will emerge. So no matter what your struggling with today, know that God has something better in store.

Live with the knowledge that He is making something new and beautiful out of you and Be Blessed!

Heather

Heather,

I don't know if you will every receive this message. But know that you are loved and that your mother and I pray for you and think of you daily.

When I found out this morning that you had breast cancer, my heart dropped. My first thought was that I just wanted to run to you and give you a hug and let you know that I love you. 

Then I went and told you mother, but she already knew. You are her child and she already knew as soon as I walked into the room. Her heart sank and the tears began to roll. So many regrets crossed both our minds, so much wasted time. 

I want you to know we are sorry and I hope that you have forgiven us.

I hope you are holding your head high, because you are a child of God. A daughter of the Great Physician! Our God can overcome anything.

I don't know what path this will follow, I don't know the what the end result will be, but I know who does. Whatever the ending, God has a plan and a purpose for everything. But as a father, my heart breaks thinking about how scared you must be, and how worried you must be. If I could trade places with you, I would in an instant. 

"But blessed is the one who trust in the Lord, whose confidence is in him." Jeremiah 17:7 NIV

I have put my trust in the Lord that you will overcome this hurdle and be better on the other side. I trust in the Lord that one day we will get to hold you again. I trust in the Lord that one day our family will be together again.

Manna…

"When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat."
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When the Israelites were starving, God provided the manna for them, right in time. The manna supplied all their nutritional needs and tasted sweet as well. It was good to the palate.

But if you know the story, the Israelites got tired of the manna, they wanted something different, something more.

Aren't we like that some times, God provides all our needs and we still want something more. Trust that God will always provide for you, and thank Him for what He has done. Then you will Be Blessed!

Good…

I was studying a different subject when this verse hit me in the face "Everything" that God made was

There have often been times in my life that I felt I was not worthy, that I was not good enough. I am sure, that there are others who have felt the same way.

We'll rest assured, I didn't have to dig to find this in the Bible. It was in the first chapter of the first book! "Everything" God made is good!

So when your down, or depressed, when you don't feel worthy, remember God made you in His image and "you are good!"

The only way…

There are so many good people in this earth. Many people with good values, great morals and a kind heart. But they are missing one thing: Jesus Christ.

You see, it doesn't matter how good you are, how much money you donate to the poor or how many people you help. Without Christ, you will live an eternity separated from Him.

Christ is the only way. Know Him today, share Him, so others may know Him. And live a life where you will Be Blessed!

Good deeds..

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

The majority of non-Christians can't see God in everyday things or events. But they can see God when they interact with Christians. They see it in our actions, our responses, our deeds and more specifically; how we treat them.

They see God through us, and we may be that seed that gets planted, good or bad. Remember who you are, a child of the King. Represent Him well!

Glorify Him in your deeds and Be Blessed!

Walk Humbly…

"No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
‭‭Micah‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Pretty simple instructions that God laid out. Always "do what is right". In todays world, the line between right and wrong are blurred, for some, but the Bible is our reference. Always do what is right, in God's eyes.

"Love mercy" or show forgiveness to those who have wronged you. That's difficult, as humans, but remember Christ showed you amazing mercy, so much that He sacrificed His life for you.

And last "walk humbly with your God". Or more specifically, put God first, in everything you do. Never place yourself or your achievements above Him. Remember, He gave it all to you!

Live a life worthy of His sacrifice and Be Blessed!

Big or Small…

Proverbs is a book of wise teachings on a wide variety of subjects. We can glean from these readings much like sitting on the porch with your great-grandfather and listening to his stories on life lessons.

God wants ALL of our heart, and He wants us to seek Him in ALL that we do. Not just the big decisions in life, but the little ones as well. Nothing is too small or to big for our God.

So if it's a major life decision or just what show to watch on TV, ask God about it. He will show you which path to take and you will Be Blessed!

He gives me strength…

"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:12-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Most of us all know Phil 4:13, but why did Paul say those words. Because in the preceding verse he knew what it was like to be hungry and to live in want.

But God had seen him through it all! He made sure he was fed and had plenty and in the rough times, God gave him the strength to make it to the other side.

Weather we are on the mountain top or in the valley, God will give you the strength to see it through. And you will Be Blessed!

Gods love…

I have always loved the outdoors: hiking, fishing, camping, nature watching. I see God in nature and especially in the wildlife. It amazes me how God supplies all their needs, just when they need them.

Now if a loving God cares about the squirrels, rabbits, deer and all the other creatures; then don't you think He cares so much more for you and me?

Take refuge in His wings, knowing that He loves you and will supply all you needs. Rest in that and Be Blessed!

A glorious day…

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are days when I feel far from God, but there are others when I feel His presence beside me. But I can't wait till that day, when sin no longer separates us and I can dwell in my Father's house and see Him face to face.

Sometimes I think we forget all that the Lord has done for us. All that He sacrificed to save us. Daily we live our lives and don't put a second thought to it.

So take a moment today, thank God for His sacrifice and praise Him that one day, you will be able to thank Him face to face. Pray and long for that day and Be Blessed!

The details…

""Dear woman, why are you crying?" Jesus asked her. "Who are you looking for?" She thought he was the gardener. "Sir," she said, "if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.""
‭‭John‬ ‭20:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do you every read the Bible and consider the "insignificant" details? Well, no detail is insignificant. Jesus was mistaken as the "gardener".

But in fact, some scholars consider it a reference back to the garden of Eden, others consider it a reference to Jesus is here to harvest our souls. As you dig deeper, the many reference come out in the smallest things.

When you read the Bible, take time to look at the details. Get a study bible and check out the references. God wove details that we can't imagine in the word. Take time to study it and Be Blessed!

Holy Spirit…

Have you ever been so desperate that you didn't know how to pray or what to pray for? The words just wouldn't come.

God has you covered! He sent the Holy Spirit to help us during those time. To intercede for us when we don't know how to or what to pray for.

Allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you and lift you up when you can't. Turn your needs toward the Lord and Be Blessed!

When your near the end of your life, will you say: "I wish I had more stuff." Or will your last words be: "I wish I had more time." Time with your family, your friends, time to travel, to serve others, time to live life to its fullest.

Material possessions are all well and good, but making memories with those you love will not be forgotten. Serving the needy will have a greater impact than your fancy new gizmo.

How you lived your life will make an eternal impact on future generations, not the stuff you left behind. Live your life well and Be Blessed!

Encouragement…

Jonathan and David were true friends. And in David's time of need, Jonathan encouraged him in his faith.

Sometimes we all need a little encouragement. Life gets us down. We want to stand strong but the enemy attacks. That's when we need a godly friend to pick us up.

We can be that godly, encouraging friend for someone else. We can stand beside them and lift them up. We can pray for them and with them during their lowest moments.

And when the tides turn, maybe they will be there to do the same for us. We both will be better for it and we will Be Blessed!

Gifts…

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:10-11‬a NIV‬‬

Your gifts from God are unique to you and you alone. God gave you a specific calling or gift to help serve other. To help build up the kingdom for Christ.

Take that gift or talent and use it with all your strength to glorify God. Others will see it for what it is, a blessing! They will see the love of God shine through you!

So thank Him for that unique talent He gave you and use it for His glory. In the end, you will Be Blessed!

Every opportunity…

"Yes, pray that I may preach the wonderful news of God's kingdom with bold freedom at every opportunity. Even though I am chained as a prisoner, I am his ambassador."
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Do you take every opportunity to share the gospel? Most of us don't, I know I don't. Maybe we are at work and it's "inappropriate", or in the store and "it feels weird". Or it is "just not the right time."

As believers, we need to do better! Jesus, the earthly side of him, probably didn't think it was the right time to suffer and die for you; but I am so glad His godly side prevailed and he died for our sins.

So it may be uncomfortable or inconvenient, but let do better. Share the gospel and Be Blessed!
